Cleaning Red Wine Spills from Wool Carpet
Red wine is one of the most popular drinks. It’s perfect for your celebration, party or just a casual dinner with friends. The problem is that it is really easy to spill it and if you have a wool carpet, you will probably get it stained. That is not such a problem if you manage to clean the stain as soon as it occurred.
It is much easier to clean red wine before it has dried on the carpet. Here is what to do in situations like this:
1. Step: Put some paper towels over the stained area and press them down with something heavy. Change them with new ones. This will blot as much of the wine as possible from the beginning and will really help you, suggest our professional cleaning team.
2. Step. Next, put some kitchen salt over the stain. Make sure you have covered the entire stain with a layer of the salt. Allow it to stay like that for at least half an hour so that it can absorb any extra moisture. Then vacuum the area. If you think there is still some moisture, you can replace the salt with a fresh one and leave it again for 30 minutes and then vacuum it again.
3. Step: Make a mixture of a ½ tablespoon and a cup of water in a bowl. Dip a sponge in and wring it very well. Sponge the solution over the remaining stain.
4. Step: Dampen a clean cloth with some vinegar and dab the stain. Continue sponging the stain and then dabbing it with vinegar. Cleaners Dagenham says you should do it until there is no more stain.
5 Step: Blot all the moisture from the solutions with clean cloths. Change the clothes until no more solution has remained. Then wet vacuum the area. Finally just let it air dry. You can also use a fan to help the drying process.
